Have fun in everything you do. Be creative. If a relationship isn’t growing, it’s dying. Show compassion, and always do what’s right. Stick to your word. Go above and beyond at all times. Laugh until it hurts! Take time to enjoy what nature has to offer. Never give up, ever, I really mean it, don’t you dare give up!!
I realize the internet is full of funny cat videos, social media, and questionable news articles, so I truly thank you for taking time away from your daily internet routine, and spending it with me!
I will start by admitting that I never thought I’d be involved in real estate, the career itself never once crossed my mind as a young adult. Creativity has always come naturally to me, and that’s where I thought I’d end up career wise.
In 2005, I was lucky enough to land a great job as a landscape designer, with a large firm in the Phoenix area. However, once the housing bubble officially burst, so did my job, and I was left struggling to find something else that would not bore me to death.
Eventually, 2010 decided to come around, and some big changes started to happen. I was tired of where my life was going, didn’t have much to lose, and I had an opportunity to get involved in real estate, so I went for it! Little did I know, it would be one of the most challenging, and exciting opportunities to cross my path yet.
I quickly found out that I was really good at several key traits that make up a good agent:
I had negotiating skills, this stems from my years spent at French flea markets haggling down the Frenchies on every little object that piqued my interest. (I lived in France for 5 years, I’ll provide details if you wish!).
I was a great problem solver, it’s how my brain has always functioned, if something is not working properly, I will find a way to fix it. Turns out, this is huge in real estate. Finding someone a home is easy, finding a solution to a problem that is causing an entire deal to crumble before your very eyes, not so much.
I was great with a huge variety of people. This is actually one of my favorite things about real estate to this day, I get to meet some truly amazing individuals. In addition, this has lead me to some great networking opportunities as well. It’s not at all unusual for me to get two different clients together because of their professions!
This last one is thankfully something that I’ve known about myself well before my career in real estate, but I’m going to mention it anyway. I have common sense, it pains me to even say that as it’s something special, but sadly, it’s a trait that some lack.
My goal is to make sure you receive the very best a real estate agent has to give, in absolutely every aspect. I want it to be a fun process for all parties involved. I want you to always feel like your needs are being addressed before anything else. I want you to trust the person representing you, and for you to walk away from a completed transaction with a huge smile on your face. That will always be my primary goal as long as I am an agent.
As I’m not a robot, I do have a life outside of real estate. During my free time, I LOVE using my brainmeats for creative purposes. I recently started welding, and metal crafting, it’s safe to say I am mildly addicted, and there is a blacksmithing class in my near future! I also enjoy cycling, and I’m slowly teaching myself how to ride a unicycle! The chainsaw juggling will probably have to wait a while, at least until I no longer need my hands to write contracts…
In addition to my hobbies, I recently purchased a home in central Phoenix. I am the second owner ever, and it was built in 1950, you do the math. Needless to say, it’s been a project getting it up and running. This has, and will continue to consume much of my time, but I adore it! Chickens, compost piles, veggie gardens, and most likely a bee box will be occurring soon!
